Fatal Crash on Interstate 80 Claims Life of Pennsylvania Driver in New Jersey

Authorities say that a 63-year-old man lost control of his car on Interstate 80 in Mount Olive on Friday, resulting in his death in a terrible highway accident.

The collision happened at 12:27 p.m., just after noon, while the vehicle was heading west close to Exit 25, which leads to Route 206 north. The SUV abruptly drove off the road to the right, according to officials, under circumstances that are still being investigated.

The SUV hit a guardrail’s end portion and a neighboring lamp post after exiting the roadway. The car went down an embankment before overturning due to the force of the impact. The order of events points to a serious loss of control and a disastrous result.

Shortly after the incident was reported, emergency personnel arrived at the scene. The driver, identified as Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania resident Dennis Wynn, was declared dead at the site despite their best attempts. In relation to the incident, no other injuries were reported.

The cause of the driver losing control of the car has not yet been identified by the authorities. Road conditions, vehicle performance, and any other circumstances that might have contributed to the collision are all being investigated by investigators.
