Fatal Crash on Garden State Parkway Claims Life of Barnegat Woman on New Year’s Day

An accident on the Garden State Parkway in Middlesex County killed a 31-year-old woman on New Year’s Day. Authorities claim Barnegat resident Tiara Muhammad was badly hurt when thrown from her car during the confrontation.
Near Woodbridge’s mile marker 127.9 at 3:36 a.m. The New Jersey State Police said Muhammad hit a local-express lane barrier while driving her SUV north. The car crash threw her out, killing her.
State police stated the SUV’s front hit the highway barrier but didn’t elaborate. Investigators are looking into whether speed, weather, or a car issue caused the incident.
Winter roads, especially early in the morning, are perilous, therefore drivers must stay alert. The Garden State Parkway, a major north-south road in New Jersey, is busier on holidays, increasing accident risk.
The inquiry should disclose more, officials added. Safe driving is especially important on holidays and other special days, as the collision shows.
