Ewing Police Chase Involving Stolen Vehicle Leaves Teen Severely Injured After Multi‑Car Collision

A three-car crash in Ewing Township during a high-speed police pursuit injured one child, according to investigators. Police and emergency services responded to a car theft and dangerous chase across a busy intersection by two teens.

Before 7:00 p.m., police claimed the pursuit began on Prospect Street near Parkway Avenue. Patrolling officers sought to halt the stolen automobile. Teens rushed through sirens and lights.

The stolen car hit a vehicle traveling the other way after failing a red traffic signal at the crossroads, witnesses said. A traffic signal post was hit by the stolen car. Police chased and hit the fleeing car.

A accident vehicle initially carried four people—two adults and two children. Fire and EMS supplied emergency care. All four car crash victims were treated at Capital Health Regional Medical Center. The vehicle’s teen’s serious injury highlighted Saturday’s injuries.

The stolen car’s two juveniles were arrested promptly. They were charged many times after the chase and crash. Many severe assault, motor theft, and evasion charges are filed. The allegations suggest that fast police escapes endanger the public.

This pursuer needed little medical attention. The officer left Capital Health Regional Medical Center.

The Mercer County Prosecutor confirmed the probe. Evidence and comments are being examined by police to identify crash cause. Police warn that reckless pursuits imperil suspects, cops, and civilians.

The event addresses regional youth criminality, vehicle theft, and high-speed chases in congested regions. Lawmakers promise to balance public safety and law enforcement.
