Edison Man Arrested in Fatal Stabbing of Former Broadway Actress Girlfriend

A teenage Broadway actress was tragically murdered at her Edison home on Sunday morning, shocking the community.

Authorities received a 911 call of a stabbing at a Grover Avenue home around 9:15 a.m. Imani Smith, 26, was found with multiple stab wounds by authorities. She was rushed to a local hospital but died shortly after.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office arrested Edison’s Jordan Jackson-Small, 35, for Smith’s killing. His charges include murder, weapons possession, and child endangerment. On child welfare accusations, officials have not supplied information. Jackson-Small was arrested without incident and is in Middlesex County jail awaiting judicial hearings.
