Big Little Lies Returns: HBO Announces Season 3 After Six-Year Hiatus

HBO renewed “Big Little Lies” for a third season after six years. 2017 Emmy-winning drama will return with more stories about the winner.
From “Atlanta” and “Fargo,” French author Francesca Sloane will write the next season’s opening episode. She will produce with David E. Kelley, Reese Witherspoon, and Nicole Kidman. The famous show’s perspective switches with Sloane at the start. Donald Glover and Sloane created Prime Video’s drama-thriller “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”.
Liane Moriarty’s best-selling book inspired the show. It follows a group of gorgeous women with surprising secrets. Fans wanted more following Season 2 in 2019. It took longer because HBO wanted Moriarty to write a sequel before airing more episodes. As with seasons, Moriarty said the book would leap ahead to depict the main protagonists as parents of teens.
Shailene Woodley, Adam Scott, Zoë Kravitz, and Laura Dern have returned for more episodes, contributing to the show’s success with reviewers and audiences. The upcoming season will have the emotional depth and complex stories people enjoy because they worked together. The same tension, drama, and attention on the characters that made “Big Little Lies” popular will return in new storylines.
HBO’s opacity regarding the show’s return will please fans and newcomers. Good writing, fantastic actors, and engaging story may make this season better than the last.
