Bergen County Zoo’s Final Late-Night Summer Event Set for Wednesday

On Wednesday, the Bergen County Zoo hosts its last summer nighttime event.

The Bergen County Zoo in Paramus will close late this summer on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Guests have one more chance to experience longer nights before the program ends. North Jersey locals and their families have been looking forward to these nighttime animal viewings, when they are usually busier and more exciting.

At this event, the Bergen County Zoo will be open from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Where? Van Saun County Park. Summer zoogoers appreciate late-night visits because they get more time to watch the animals and learn about their behavior. Last Wednesday will be full of educational and entertaining programs, feedings, and demos.

The most popular time to watch these wonderful animals is about 5:15 p.m., when red wolves feed them. Spider monkeys trained on stage at 5:30 p.m. Visitors can watch the animals and talk to the zookeepers about their care. The zoo’s 6:00 p.m. amphitheater presentation is entertaining and educational for the whole family. A farm animal training session will begin at 6:15 p.m. These are fantastic opportunities for kids to meet the zoo’s favorite animals.

Admission is $6 for Bergen County adults and $4 for children under 14. Adults over 62 and children under 3 enter for free. People from outside the county are welcome. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $7 for children. People over 65 from other counties pay $4 to enter. Free admission for disabled and active-duty military with ID. This ensures everyone enjoys the event.

People can buy tickets online or at a counter outside the zoo, making planning easier. I appreciate your attention. Last admission to this late-night visit is 6:30 p.m., and train and carousel tickets are sold at 6:45. The family still enjoys zoo, rail, and horseback rides. Along with wildlife presentations, they offer a classic park experience.

The extra summer hours program allowed people to see animals in the early evening, when it’s cooler and many species are busy. Zoo staff have stated that these late-night incidents are serious. They also emphasize learning, wildlife conservation, and community involvement.

Bergen County Zoo late-night shows will end this week. Normal operations will continue. Families can watch the shows daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Those who missed the earlier summer nights have till Wednesday to see the zoo in a new light and enjoy the season-themed summer festivities.

As the season ends, the Bergen County Zoo’s last late-night event of 2025 will combine school, community, and family enjoyment. It will be remembered long beyond summer.
