Florida Congressman Faces Harassment Allegations from Beauty Pageant Winner

A troubling new controversy has emerged around Florida Republican Congressman Cory Mills, after a prominent state GOP official and beauty pageant titleholder accused him of harassment, threats, and emotional abuse. Lindsey Langston, who currently holds the crown as Miss United States 2024 and serves as a Florida Republican state committee member, has filed a police report claiming the congressman threatened her after their relationship ended.

Official records filed with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department on July 14 say that Langston told police that Mills threatened to make sexual videos of her public and told anyone who might date her that they could be hurt. The claims have made people very worried about the behavior of an elected official from Florida’s 7th congressional district.

Langston met Mills in November 2021 and they are dating. She moved in with him last summer but split in February 2025. She calls the police for her own safety and peace of mind after the congressman has harassed her repeatedly.

Congressman Mills issued a brief statement denying knowledge of the police report. Mills says, “We have not been told of any report or allegations from law enforcement or the person who is said to have made the complaint.” “These claims are not true and don’t reflect how I interact with people.” “I have always been honest with myself.”

According to reports, Mills has been arrested for similar offenses. The Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C., investigated the lawmaker in February. He was charged with a simple attack using his “personal weapons,” either his hands or boots. No criminal charges were filed, and the claimant eventually recanted.

Mills denied fighting, but the incident drew attention to him. This person who was supposedly the victim said in writing, “The personal matter in question was emotionally charged, but there was no physical altercation.” Unfortunately, writers have since lied about what happened, which has led to constant harassment from different sources.

Besides these personal problems, Mills is also being looked into by the House Ethics Committee for supposedly not giving correct information about his finances. He denies hiding federal government contracts and lying about his holdings in financial disclosure filings. He also faces a lawsuit for allegedly not paying rent on a Washington, D.C. building.
